Papaya Mango Lassi (Live and Vegan)

A Bit of Sweet with your Green...
Traditionally, Mango Lassi is a drink custom to India and other parts of Asia. It is usually made with yogurt but, here is a recipe that will give the cows a much needed rest...Enjoy..Peace

Mango Papaya Lassi (Raw and Vegan)

-1 Young Thai Coconut (Meat and Water)
-1 handful of raw and soaked cashews
-1 cup of papaya (frozen or not)
-1 mango (frozen or not)
-1 cup of mango juice
-3 tablespoons of lime juice
-Agave Nectar to taste
-1/4 tsp of ground cardamon (optional)

Blend and Enjoy (If the fruits are not frozen, make sure that they are nice and cold. Frozen fruit makes for a thicker lassi, which is really the best way to drink it...)

Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF)

I found out about this organization some years ago through friends who actually had the experience. As a result, their awareness was heightened in relation to where their foods come from and that you can really go and pick your dinner. I am all about creative travel and truly being changed by it, as a result. What I appreciate about this project, is that you can pick anywhere you may want to go in the world, get a ticket, and just go volunteer on an organic farm, and just about anywhere too. For your help, you recieve good clean food and a clean space to stay, a wealth of knowledge on how to cultivate and sustain an organic farm, and most importantly, you will learn something worth repeating. That makes it all worth while. Worlwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) began in the UK in 1971, their focus is to spread the message of true sustainable living and to provide its participants with the richest experience possible. It may be unconventional to most but, I think its the best way to be. You have to witness the world through rose-colored glasses once in a while, it reminds you of the magic in it. I say all that to say, if you usually fly somewhere and stay at a nice hotel, then rely on the concierge for your best little taste of the night life, then that's just a trip. And that's cool if that's what you're into. Life is to be experienced and nourished by, why not go to a new place, be awestruck, and learn something that will help the world. Walk to be new everyday. The WWOOF project is currently in the Bahamas, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamacia, Nicaragua, Panama, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Morocco, Nambia, Nigeria, Bolivia, Columbia, Peru, Uraguay, Venezuela, Belguim, Croatia, Finland, Greece, Holland, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Jordan, and Hungary. I am sure I left some out but, you get my drift. For more info and good works in the world, please check www.wwoof.org .... Bless and Be light......

Primitive Living in Saijo, Hiroshima

Design: Suppose Design Office, Japan
Lead Architect: Makoto Tanijiri
Site area: 246 m2
Building area: 50.41 m2
Total floor area: 115.51m2

“When I always create, I think that I want to find the charm of the plan,” claims 35 year old talented architect Makoto Tanijiri, chief architect of Suppose Design Office. In the nine year existence of Suppose Design Office they have built more than 50 works of architecture, almost all single-family homes, among other projects. The impressive number of works completed topped up in 2007 with the modern pit dwelling in Saijo, Hiroshima. In Saijo, a town known for it sake, a jet black pyramid unexpectedly stands out; when first seen it seems as if it’s a house from the future. On the contrast, it’s actually inspired by the earliest house in Japanese architecture; the pit dwelling or the “tateana jukyo”. Constructed during the Yayoi era (200 B.C. – 250 A.D.), pit dwellings were built by digging a circular pit (or rectangular one with rounded edges) fifty or sixty centimeters deep and five to seven meters in diameter, then covering it with a steep thatched roof. Not very different from talented young architects Makoto Tanijiri’s modern day pit dwelling!

Why do people say they dig for records or they know music? The more you know, the more you realize you know nothing. How much music can one really have? How can you possibly enjoy a whole record when you have 2,000 songs on your hard drive? Remember when you had to listen to the whole album to get to the next side? Folks don't even have the wherewith all to memorize songs anymore. They just memorize artists to sound cultured around there friends. Where is the line drawn? Or let's just wait to someone dies to get up on there catalog and go to the monthly tribute shows. Explore and create your own lane. Be original. Right your own bible. Just listen and go. Enjoy where sounds take you...forward ever, backward never.

Heal Thyself - Top 5 Calcium Rich Veggies

Calcium? Where do the COWS get calcium for their big bones? Yes... from plants! The calcium they consume from plants have a large amount of magnesium... necessary for the body to absorb and USE the calcium. Duh!!!! Who have you been believining all these years?

So your doctor tells you to drink more milk because you are lacking in Calcium and you don't want to get osteoporosis. Is that the best a doctor can do? They always recommend the common mans cure. Doctors are the biggest decievers in the biz. Always medicating, never curing. So here's the scoop on the top vegetables that will increase your calcium supply.

These should be eaten RAW and steamed to release and activate nutrients within the vegetbles. A small and growing number of studies suggest that lightly steaming food may actually increase the release of some nutrients, according to study leader Nicoletta Pellegrini, of the University of Parma in Italy. Try them in a salad or DOLO.

Health Risks from Drinking Milk

First, milk is for baby cows. Simple and utterly plane. No pun intended. Yes... milk is Mother Nature's "perfect food" ...for a calf... until it is weaned. Everything you know about cow's milk and dairy is probably part of a dairy industry MYTH. *ALL* cow's milk (regular and 'organic') has 59 active hormones, scores of allergens, fat and cholesterol. The calcium in cow's milk is basically useless because it has insufficient magnesium content (those nations with the highest amount of milk/dairy consumption also have the highest rates of osteoporosis. Proof? How about a controlled study of 78,000 nurses over a period of 12 years?

Milk can be thought of as "liquid meat" because of its high protein content which, in concert with other proteins, may actually LEACH calcium from the body. Countries that consume high protein diets (meat, milk and dairy) have the highest rates of osteoporosis. OK, I am done...Its time for cows to take a day off!!!

Whole Grain VEGAN Blueberry Pancakes:::::::

So many of you have emailed and emailed about breakfast ideas. Well, it just so happens that I have been a fan of Vegan Blueberry Pancakes for the last month. Here is the recipe.

* 1 1/2 cups whole-grain spelt flour
* 1/2 cup oat bran
* 1/2 cup wheat bran
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
* 2 cups plain soy milk or rice and soy milk blend
* Vegetable oil for cooking
* 1 cup (1/2 pint) fresh blueberries
- plus 1/2 cup fresh blueberries or raspberries for serving
* Pure Maple syrup for serving

Preparation

In medium bowl, stir together spelt flour, oat bran, wheat bran, baking soda, and salt. Add soy milk and stir until thoroughly combined.

Brush large nonstick or cast-iron griddle or skillet with oil and heat over moderate heat until hot but not smoking. Working in 3 to 4 batches, pour 1/4 cup batter per pancake onto griddle and press 12 to 15 blueberries into each pancake. Cook until bubbles appear and pop on surface and undersides are golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Flip pancakes, then turn off heat and let pancakes continue to cook in pan until undersides are firm and light golden brown, about 3 minutes more. Transfer to plate, berry side up, and keep warm.

Repeat to cook remaining pancakes, oiling and reheating griddle between each batch. Serve pancakes warm with additional berries and maple syrup.

Freedom The Known

“When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”

Cloud Vortices: The “holey” sky phenomena:Punch Hole Clouds And Other Rarely Seen Cloud Formations

These “cloud holes” can look like the footprints of some celestial being (UFO enthusiasts rejoice!)

…makes our sky worthy to look at from time to time (those who only look at the computer monitor, take note).

Theodore von Karman’s “Cloud Vortices” are something else, again: they form when the wind encounters a barrier - such as the Aleutian islands, in this case - and the flowing eddies of cloud create a weird pattern. The image you see below was photographed from the International Space Station, and the animation shows the double row of vortices, which rotate opposite from each other.

It seems both rising and sinking air currents can create the same effect. Sometimes a very stable, uniform layer of high-altitude clouds can get “punched though” by a pocket of cold air, which sinks toward the ground - creating the circular hole formation.

Anti Cancer Green Juice

पेअसऔर Peace,

In our daily battle against principalities and toxins in the air, the least we can do is eat right. We are at war with element we can not see all day every day. Even as you stare at this computer, you are subject to the electromagnetic radiation from the computer screen and battery. Yes. Most of us live in the city so we inhale toxic fumes hourly. Cancers are infantile at this stage but they take no time to develop into massive dis-eases. Remarkably nature has its way of healing us. IT REALY IS THAT SIMPLE. Wrong foods place an enormous amount of stress on the body’s cells, causing normal body cells to become acidic, high in sugar, and cancerous during the dividing process. It is important to adopt an alkaline diet filled with raw fruits and vegetables, and to avoid white flour, sugar, meat and dairy products. Drink this anti cancer green juice and you will lessen your chances of developing cancers. No joke, this recipe contains some of the best known anti cancer vegetables known in the U.S.:

(Note) All vegetables should be juiced in a juicer not a blender for maximum yield of nutrients.

Anti Cancer Green Juice

* 1 beetroot (medium)
* 2 radish greens
* 3 broccoli heads and stalks
* 1 carrot
* 1 stick of celery
* 1/2 purple sweat potato (medium)

Vegetable Breakdown:

Beetroot- The red pigment in beets raises antioxidant enzyme levels in the liver and may promote detoxification in the intestines, blood and liver. Colon cancer research has also shown that consumption of beet fiber may increase colonic CD8 cells, which detect and remove abnormal cells.

Beet juice also inhibited the production of nitrosamines from foods containing nitrates in stomach cancer patients. For beets to be most useful in cancer prevention they should be taken uncooked or very lightly cooked as heat reduces their anti-cancer properties.

Radish-Radishes, like other member of the cruciferous family (cabbage,kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts), contain cancer-protective properties. Throughout
history radishes have been effective when used as a medicinal food for liver disorders.

They contain a variety of sulfur-based chemicals that increase the flow of bile.
Therefore, they help to maintain a healthy gallbladder and liver, and improve
digestion. Fresh radish roots contain a larger amount of vitamin C than cooked
radish roots. Radish greens, contain far more vitamin C, calcium, and protein than
the roots.

Broccoli heads and stalks- This vegetable possesses extremely high anti-cancer property, particularly against lung, colon and breast cancers. Like other cruciferous vegetables it speeds up removal of estrogen from the body, there by helping suppress breast cancer. It is rich in cholesterol reducing fiber and also possesses antiviral and anti-ulcer activities.

Carrot-
A substance called falcarinol that is found in carrots has been found to reduce the risk of cancer, according to researchers at Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences (DIAS). Kirsten Brandt, head of the research department, explained that isolated cancer cells grow more slowly when exposed to falcarinol. This substance is a polyacethylen, however, so it is important not to cook the carrots.

Celery- Celery is known to contain at least eight families of anti-cancer compounds. Among them are the acetylenics that have been shown to stop the growth of tumor cells. Phenolic acids which block the action of prostaglandins that encourage the growth of tumor cells. And coumarins which help prevent free radicals from damaging cells.

Potato- A case-control study of 64 newly diagnosed cases of gallbladder cancer and
101 cases of gallstones suggests a significant reduction in odds ratio with the
consumption of sweet potato among vegetables. Potato has been demonstrated to lower serum cholesterol. The antioxidative activities of anthocyanins from purple sweet potato have been the main factor. Its all in the pigment of the plant.

Your diets must change. This babylonian way of eating can not go on. It is not your way. Please....just try...be well>>>
