7.0 quake hits Haiti; ‘Serious loss of life’ expected: I am sure by now you’ve heard either from the news, the internet or a friend that a massive 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti yesterday afternoon, causing major damage in the capital Port-Au-Prince. Efforts to reach my family and friends in Haiti have been successful in some cases but unsuccessful in others. We are optimistic, praying and being hopeful that help will reach the island as quickly as possible. There will forever be a dent in my heart even if we locate everyone safely, to think that, as reported by CNN & Radio Soleil over 3 million people will be left homeless and several thousand dead, due to the largest earthquake in Haiti in over 200 years. Note: The posted image is a place holder, as we patiently wait for quality images.
I do want to thank everyone who text, emailed or called me when the news hit. Please continue to pray for my entire family not of hundreds but of 9 million living in Haiti whose lives will forever be changed. Anyone wishing to contribute to relief efforts can do so by calling 311, contributing to the Mayor’s Fund, Red Cross, or Yele Haiti. All of our supporters across the world who wish to contribute, I will personally lead in the efforts to help in the aftermath, stay tuned for more info. “We are, each of us angels with only one wing; and we can only fly by embracing one another.” Luciano de Crescenzo Italian writer, film actor, director and engineer.
