One of the best things to add to a good vegetable juice is avocado in my opinion. It makes it a vegetable smoothie. Soooo Good. Always remember to juice your greens first the add the avocado and any other green supplements in the blender not in the juice extractor. Be fast not to allow oxidation to kill the properties of the juice.

Avocado is a good antioxidant for health, which helps us from the free radicals we are exposed to everyday. Avocado is also high in potassium which can be a good substitute to bananas. The below juice recipe has Potassium, Calcium, Iron, Carotene and Vitamin C besides other nutrient values. Avocado juice recipe is also a good juice recipe for diet conscious people.

Looks can be deceiving at Avocado’s case as the colour of avocado can’t be used as basis to determine a really ripe avocado. Ripe avocado will be slightly solid but can’t stand to gentle pressure. Avocado can ripe quicker if placed together with bananas in a paper bag.

Here is a good recipe:

  • ½ Fresh Avocado (blend after in blender)
  • 3 Celery Stalks
  • ½ Cucumber
  • Handful of spinach
  • 3 stalks of celery
  • Handful of parsley
  • ½Lemon
