So here it is:
*Please begin your morning with a glass of pure water
-Miso soup to release mucous and Green tea for its anti-oxidant effects
-Eat non- mucous forming foods like: Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, cultured foods like yogurt and sauerkraut, high vitamin C foods like citrus, berries, and fundamental sulphur from cabbage, onions, and garlic. Get plenty of essential fatty acids from omega-3 oils like flax, sea greens (kelp, nori, hijiki, wakame, arame, dulse, etc.), and spinach.
-Please avoid: Dairy, canned and preserved foods, caffeine, sugary foods, heavy starches, etc.
-Check out your vitamins and make sure that you are taking Vitamin C or Ester C to help build up resistance. Evening Primrose oil is also good to take several months before allergy season as a preventative.
-End each evening w/ a glass of pure water and the juice of 1/2 of a lemon. It helps clear the body of toxins and you will detox while you rest. (smile)
*If the symptoms are truly out of hand, there is a homeopathic remedy that you can take that doesn't have any side effects. The Brand is Similisan and you want to get the Eye drops #1 and Nasal spray. It should be available at most health food stores, if not, check The Vitamin Shoppe.
*If you are a tea drinker, try "Breathe Deep" by Yogi Teas.
*Exercise is important to increase oxygen uptake, assist in pushing out mucous, toxins , and improving all around circulation. Take advantage of the cooler weather and take a daily walk w/ deep breathing, and sweat some of that stuff out. Delight in your day....Be well...
