Wonder of the World: The Bagan Empire....

Hope everyone is feeling good and looking forward to all of the newness that is ahead. The gift of travel, whether physical or astro, allows you to witness life's movement in a completely different place and under a completely different frequency. It really does give you "sight beyond sight" to bear witness to all of the magic that exist in the world through people, places, and things. Please don't take it for granted. Knowing that the ruins of the Bagan Empire still exist in Burma, changed my whole world this weekend. It gave me yet, another place to look forward to experiencing sooner than later. Bagan is an ancient empire in modern day Myanmar (Burma), with some of the most breathtaking structures, from an architectural standpoint, or an other for that matter. The majority of the temples were built in the 11th-13th centuries by the 1st Burmese empire. The ruins of the city cover about 15 square miles and has similar architectural style to the neighboring kingdom of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Both Buddhist empires were built around the same time. Unfortunately, the modern day ruling of the Junta party in Burma is carelessly restoring the ruins by using modern day supplies and design. This compromises all integrity and authenticity of the original structures. In some cases, "brand new" isn't always the best thing. Delight in your day....Bless and Be Well....
