The owner of the house is actually the former mayor of Asheville. The full video that has interviews with him and his wife is floating around online if you're interested. I guess this TV station didn't want to pay licensing rights to the original broadcaster?
I did some searching around and the designer for this project is Push Designs. Pretty interesting projects they're working on. Looks like they are focusing on healthy buildings, which is an interesting move beyond just being green/eco.
